Barbara R. Sprano has been on the Spiritual path most of her life and has been actively reading studying and practicing for the last twenty-five years. Barbara has a Bachelors degree in Radiologic Science from Quinnipiac University and completed two years of Elementary Education at Western Connecticut State University. Barbara has been a Healthcare professional for over thirty-five years is registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and has advanced certifications in MRI, CT Scan, Mammography, and Bone Density. Barbara also holds licensure in Florida and Connecticut. She taught Cross-Sectional Anatomy and Radiation Physics for over eight years for a Radiology program at Yale-New Haven Hospital in affiliation with Gateway Community College, in New Haven, Connecticut. During this time Barbara became a Reiki Master and a Minister with the Progressive Universal Life Church. She is also an accomplished jeweler, specializing in gold and silver using pearls, and precious and semi-precious stones.

Barbara now has had ten years experience as a Usui/Tibetan and Karuna® Reiki Master Teacher, certified by The International Center for Reiki Training, founded by William Lee Rand. Barbara received nine Reiki attunements from well-known Distance Reiki practitioner Anna Pizzoferrato, who is also certified by The International Center for Reiki Training. Anna is a Usui/Tibetan, Karuna and Kundalini Reiki Master/Teacher, and also a Shambala Multidimensional Healing Master.

Thanks to Barbara’s knowledge of anatomy she has become a Reflexology and Acupressure massage practitioner, studying with Miriam Turner and Theresa Girolami.
Barbara also uses the Excel II Acu- Point Locator Cold Laser Stimulator for natural acupressure like healing she says it’s noninvasive and pain less.

Over the last twenty years, Barbara studied and practiced the science of Spirituality, and she says our spiritual self is a part of us that gives our life greater meaning. It is the platform which a well-rounded life is built. Believing the fact that all answers to our questions about life lie within us is a wonderful source of help and direction and always available to us. Learning to listen to that inner guidance is the key step to moving forward with our spiritual development. Barbara believes that within each of us is a real place of “knowing or truth”.

During those twenty years Barbara experienced several Shamanic journeys, which are a type of visually guided meditations, which is facilitated by a Shaman, and the use of low tone monotonous drumming. The primary mission of the Shamanic journey is specifically looking for knowledge that one can use to enhance their everyday ordinary lives. A loss of soul essence or diminishment of spiritual energy is a powerful survival mechanism for some people, that occurs because a person’s psyche cannot survive the pain or humiliation of a traumatic experience, such as abuse, illness, accidents, loss of a loved one, extreme stress or addiction or just to enjoy the adventure. A Shamanic journey can retrieve ones lost soul and integrate into a healthy, balanced mind and body. Most of Barbara Shamanic experiences were done with Dr. Wayne J. Howe Ph.D.

Barbara was fascinated with Astrology for many years, which is the science and study of how the moon, the stars and the earth are all interwoven with patterns of time, and cycles in an extremely exquisite, yet simple phenomena. Astrology can teach you that when our own individual consciousness is open to opportunities, we manifest our goals and can participate with energies of God within us in a practical way. Barbara studied with Agneta Borstein from West Hartford, CT.

Barbara learned the magic of the Tarot, a form of divination and received her first deck of cards when she was thirteen. She has practiced Fung Shui for years, which is based on the fundamental principals of how to create different energy states in the human body and is just as effective today as it was in ancient China. Barbara has journed through time with Guided meditations and Past Life Regressions. She has taken ‘Angel Dictation’, that is a method for communicating with your Guardian angels and was taught by Trudy Griswold, of Westport, CT, who together with her sister Barbara Mark wrote “Angelspeake”, and “The Angelspeake Book of Prayer and Healing”.

Barbara became proficient in the use of Essential oils and Aromatherapy, which was taught to her by Hilary Cyr and Gayle Nogin of Gayle’s Thyme in Enfield, CT., and claims her Love potion, really works. She makes her own Reiki charged candles which she learned as a young girl in the 70’s and delights in her knowledge of crystals, gemstones and colors to heal, and shares that love with Anna Pizzoferrato as they are both active, and experienced jewelers.

Barbara has become skillful in the art of Aura cleansing and Chakra clearing and balancing which she studied with Ms. Pizzoferrato, and Dr. Doreen Virtue, Ph.D. She practices, Japa, an ancient Sanskrit sound manifesting meditation, which was learned from many live and recorded presentations by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, Ph.D., as was The Lighten Up Process, which was developed and taught by Carol Hansen-Grey. The Lighten Up Process is a self-love, self-acceptance program.

Barbara studied Intuitive Development for over ten years with Althea DePascale and Ron Trukowski of The Farmington Hypnosis and Awareness Center in CT and says her favorites were Billets and Psychometry. She is a student of A Course In Miracles and has studied with Marla and Bill Abraham of the Wellington Hypnosis Center, in Wellington, FL and recently with Dr. Brian Sheen, PhD. of the Quantum Healing Center, in Delray Beach, Fl.

Barbara has channeled Reiki to people, places, pets, situations and surgeries, to name a few and enjoys the new advanced Laser Therapy, very much, so what’s next for Barbara…she is headed into Hypnotherapy and hopes to follow that with Shambala – Multidimensional Healing.

Barbara thinks all of our problems are within our ability to solve and it is important to realize that there is always a higher purpose for everything in our lives. What we consider to be a problem may actually be an opportunity to learn and grow.
